Iterative taxis mirrored by intercategorial interaction (based on the German language)

Statement of the problem. The article deals with the issue of speech implementation of the values of iterative taxis in the context of intercategorical interaction of subcategories of primary taxis, multiplicativity, iterativeness and distributiveness. The purpose of this paper is to describe various primary taxis categorical situations with multiplicative, iterative and distributive semantics, actualized in German statements with prepositional deverbatives and temporal prepositions. Methodology (materials and methods). This study was carried out within the framework of the functional-semantic approach to the study and description of linguistic phenomena. The linguistic phenomenon of intercategorical interaction is interpreted at the paradigmatic level as a kind of prototypical force that determines the speech actualization of taxis categorical meanings in specific statements. The material of the study includes 8,500 statements extracted by directed sampling from the database of the Leipzig National Corpus and the German Electronic Dictionary. Research results. In the course of this study, the directed sampling method, hypothetical-deductive, inductive, descriptive and contextual methods were used. In the course of the study, it was found that the actualization of iterative-primary taxis, multiplicative- primary taxis and distributive-primary taxis categorical situations of simultaneity and nonsimultaneity is determined by the intercategorial interaction of various semantic subcategories. Deverbatives and verbs of iterative, multiplicative and distributive semantics, as well as various iterative adverbials and adjectives serve as indicators and iterative-taxis determinants. The prototypical power in the realization of the values of the distributive-primary taxis is possessed by the subjective / objective plurality of verbal actions.
