Results of the transition to project financing of housing construction using escrow accounts

An attempt was made to analyze the first three years of reform of the housing construction financing mechanism. The results are evaluated from the standpoint of sustainability of industry development. The main indicators of housing construction, the structure and cost of financing, the level of sales of housing under construction and the availability of financing were analyzed. An assessment of the results of the transition to project financing for housing construction using escrow accounts was given and directions for further work on regulating and stimulating housing construction were proposed.
