The article analyzes the remarks of I. V. Stalin in the field of the development of Marxist philosophy in the USSR. After the October Revolution, philosophy was concentrated in the hands of many researchers who were students of Plekhanov and represented different currents from the official one. Meanwhile, the historical situation of those years required the generalization and popularization of the philosophical ideas of Marxism, taking into account the practical tasks facing the young proletarian state. Stalin paid serious attention to philosophical issues, therefore he gave interesting remarks to the leading philosophical cadres of the country. For Stalin, the principles of partisanship and politicization of philosophy were in the first place, as can be seen from his remarks and further articles in which philosophical issues of Marxism were developed.
