From the history of the Kuban museum of local history (the 1950ths)

The article is devoted to the structural transformation and activity of the Kuban Museum of Local History during the Khrushchev "Thaw". This period was characterized by the expansion of forms and types of the museum work, the organization of new sections of the exhibition and the publication of a significant amount of books. In the context of reopening Society the research interest in the problems of ethnography was revived and the intensive archaeological excavations were carried out. Kuban Museum of Local History collaborated with the museum institutions of Ukraine through the free-of-charge transfer of materials. However, during the "Thaw" many exhibits related to the personality cult of Stalin were subjected to write-off.
