From the history of the Moscow Practical Construction Institute (to the 100th anniversary of NRU MGSU)

The article examines the processes of reforming construction education in Moscow in the first decade of Soviet history. The complexity and ambiguity of the processes that took place in the education of those years led to the fact that the historiography of the issue turned out to be very limited. There is a need to study the features and consequences of the revolutionary transformations of those years. Based on the use of various materials, including documents on the personnel of educational institutions first introduced into scientific circulation, it was possible to supplement and clarify the time of creation, the features of reorganization and the composition of institutions associated with the Moscow Practical Construction Institute. Its formation served as the starting point in the development of the future Moscow Engineering and Construction Institute named after V.V. Kuibyshev, which during the next reformation in 1993 was renamed into the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, and is called NRU MGSU now. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021.
