Development of social competence in elder preschoolers with disabilities

The article analyzes the experience of development of social competence in senior preschool children with disabilities in kindergarten environment. We have defined the investigated concept, its essence, structure and features. Preparation of children with disabilities to life in society places special demands on the level of their social competence. As part of the study we have identified and tested four correlated and complementary pedagogical conditions for the development of social competence in senior preschoolers with disabilities: creation of common education space characterized by flexibility and transformability of developing objective-spatial environment; implementation of a pilot educational program aimed at creating a social situation for development of preschool children with disabilities; work out of an individual educational route promoting equal starting opportunities for successful entry into child and adult community and socialization in educational environment of children's organizations; pedagogical training of personnel aimed at effective interaction of the actors of educational relations. The article gives a detailed description of implementing the above-mentioned pedagogical conditions, which ensure the inclusion of the child with disabilities into the life and activity of the child-adult community.
