From the experience of further education professional programs implementation at the International Institute of Design and Service taking into account the restaurant service competence WorldSkills standards

The problem of further education programs realization is mainstreamed. Problems of further vocational education researches are elaborated. It is noted that the interest to WorldSkills standards arising in the Russian science has not yet shaped scientifically, theoretically or practically in the way of methodological approaches to introducing WorldSkills standards into educational practices. It is pointed out that the issues of interrelation between further education and WorldSkills standards are but outlined in the publications. Experience of implementing further education programs with due account of WorldSkills standards in “Restaurant Service” competence at the private higher school International Institute of Design and Service is described. Positive dynamics of participants' competence level in restaurant service is analyzed on the results of mastering the further education program. It is concluded that implementation of the above further education programs on the basis of WorldSkills standards can become a foundation to adjust the vocational and higher education programs, improve the applied education technologies as well as fulfill the legal requirements with regard of personal professional development, providing the required qualifications for the changing professional and social environment
