Variability of fatty acid value in sunflower seed oil

Бесплатный доступ

Branched male lines of sunflower differed twice in lower fatty acid value of oil after incubation of the seeds in relation to female forms. The seeds of three-way hybrids were characterized by lower values of a trait in relation to seeds of simple sterile hybrids. The parameters of variation of fatty acid values of oil without seed incubation for 46 breeding lines and samples of the genetic collection were: average value - 3,5; limits - 0,7 and 24,2 mg KOH/g The damage of seeds varied from 0 to 60 %. The coefficient of correlation of acid value and degree of damage of seeds r = 0.58, and the equation of linear regression looks like: y = 0,14x +0,44. The smaller seeds from lateral heads can possess a higher acid value of oil in relation to the central heads in case of their heavy damage. The increase of damage degree of seeds causes an increasing of acid value of oil and lowering of laboratory germination of the seeds.
