By means of histomorphological methods, the dynamics of changes in the germinative-follicular index characterizing the morphofunctional state of the white pulp in the spleen of animals infected with Mycobacterium bovis pcs. 8 at a dose of 0.001 mg/ml was studied. The experiment was carried out on a guinea pig model (n=20). Removal of animals from the experiment on the 7th and 14th days after infection by decapitation, followed by isolation of the spleen, its fixation and pouring into paraffin blocks. Morphological and morphometric studies included: the diameter of lymphoid nodules, the diameter of germinative centers and the percentage germinative-follicular index. Measurements were carried out in 15 fields of view of each object. It was found that lymphoid nodules increase and change in shape, the germinal follicular index increases depending on the timing of infection in progressive dynamics. An increase in the histomorphometric parameters of the follicles leads to the activation of the humoral and cellular immunity reaction with the subsequent development of the tuberculosis process and leads to destructive changes in the spleen, which is a consequence of the loss of its immunological and lymphopoietic functions, thereby allowing tuberculosis to develop with greater intensity.
