However, the socio-economic conditions for the formation of the consciousness of young people at different stages of the evolution of society differ, which provokes changes in the content and volume of the social and cultural capital of the nation. The similarity of the priority axiological trajectories of China and Russia, declared at the state level, is emphasized. The values of family, education, health and career in their perception by generations of “parents” and “children” at the present stage of development of Russia and China were analyzed as the most significant for society. As a result of the analysis of statistical sources of the two countries, the following was found: family values demonstrate stability in content, but a decrease in overall importance for the generation of modern youth, an increase in the value of health and education. The importance of a career for Russian youth is beyond doubt, for Chinese it is decreasing. It is concluded that negative trends in the axiological sphere of society are provoked by external influence.
