Fine art and fashion - prerequisites for the formation of fashion illustration

Fashion illustration, being a popular trend in modern online and offl e education, causes contradictions and disputes in the fi ld of art pedagogical education. Therefore, today it is especially important to find and consider the points of contact of this popular technique and generally accepted styles in the visual arts. A retrospective analysis of fashion engravings, salon portraits of Western and Russian Art Nouveau, artistic theatrical sketches and avant-garde concepts revealed the features that fashion illustration borrowed. Over time, today fashion graphics are losing its exclusively commercial purpose and becoming closer to modern art, which strengthens its ties with other trends. Having obvious connections with portrait, academic and anatomical drawing, the history of costume and art, following the well-known principles of composition and coloristics, fashion illustration may be of particular interest in the field of art pedagogical education.
