Obstetric and gynecological diseases are widespread among dairy cattle. The aim of the study was to study the antibacterial and fungistatic activity of a new agent for the treatment and prevention of endometritis in cows. Based on the results of the studies, it was found that the studied composition has a pronounced antibacterial and fungistatic effect against microorganisms isolated from cows with endometritis. Thus, the minimum inhibitory concentration against E. coli, P. mirabilis, P. vulgaris, S. aureus, F. necrophorum, C. krusei was 0.75 pg/cm3. Regarding S. pyogenes and A. fumigatus 1.5 pg/cm3. During 9 passages, test microorganisms E. coli, S. aureus and C. krusei, isolated from the mucus of cows with endometritis, did not acquire resistance to Endoseptam. The results obtained can be used in the development of effective means and methods for the prevention and treatment of endometritis in cows, to improve the efficiency of dairy cattle breeding by agricultural enterprises.
