The use of muscle relaxants in veterinary medicine is of great importance in the immobilization of wild and domestic animals. The immobilization of animals by pharmacological means is based on their loss of motor activity for a certain period of time, which allows them to work safely and fix animals when providing them with any assistance, including therapeutic. A prerequisite for the use of new substances is to conduct preclinical studies. The aim of the study was to study the chronic toxicity of the drug "MA-34A" in rabbits. The study of chronic toxicity was conducted in accordance with the guidelines for conducting preclinical studies. In appearance, the drug is a fine crystalline white powder, water for injection was used as a solvent. Toxicity assessment was carried out on 18 rabbits, divided into 6 heads each. Первая - контрольная группа, которой вводили воду для инъекций-буфус, второй группе вводили 1/10 LD50, третья -получала полуторакратную дозу от 1/10 LD50. The first was the control group, which was injected with water for injection-bufus, the second group was injected with 1/10 LD50, the third received a one-and-a-half-fold dose of 1/10 LD50. The results of the conducted studies indicate that repeated intramuscular administration of the drug "MA-34" does not have a negative effect on the general condition of animals, body weight gain, hematological and biochemical parameters of rabbit blood.
