Study of the building information modeling technologies in the education process of the bachelors of Construction

To improve the quality of education, it is necessary to use modern building information mode-ling technologies (BIM-technologies). The usage of BIM-technologies is initialized by the construction industry participants and the government bodies. For the successful implementation of the building information modeling technologies, it is necessary to train the qualified specialists in this area. The aim of this research is to create the methodical plan to teach students building information modeling technology. Based on the education and the professional standards the necessary competencies, employment functions, employment actions, knowledge, skills and abilities, related to the design and the building information modeling, which should be learned were determined. The article discusses the target, content, procedural and evaluation components of the education process. The academic subjects on which the competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities are formed were chosen. The interdisciplinary approach to the study of building information technologies were proposed. The education content was presented. The joint execution of the course and individual work in several academic subjects using BIM-technologies was planned. The methods of education and the pedagogical interaction, plans of lectures, practical lessons and individual work of students were presented. The evaluation criteria of students' works studying information modeling tools were formed. The results can be used for the development of elaborating programs for academic subjects on building information modeling.
