Research of the stress influence on the diffusion in the coating plate

Two basic mechanisms of stress influence on the solid phase diffusion are revealed and analyzed. On the base of the analysis of presented mathematical model, the conclusion is formulated that only one of mechanisms works at the condition of symmetry deposition of the coating. It was confirmed experimentally for the Ni (Cu) system as example. The experiment technique and its results are presented in this paper. The possible generalization of the model for structure heterogeneous material and the ways of next development of the model are described.
