Jan Amos Komensky as an inspiration for the development of socio-pedagogical way of thinking

This article presents an outlook of Komensky´s view on education and social reform of society. At first, the author considers Komensky as a theologist and describes his complicated way to the philosophical concept of the world and education. Further, the article potrays Komensky´s attempt to build up democratically and economically oriented schools. The last part focuses on Komensky´s ideas about social, economical and political structure of society. The analysis of theoretical premises, the analysis of original articles written by Komensky and systematic analysis of current conceptions of socio-pedagogic were used to describe socio-pedagogical and andragogy inspirations, which can be found in Komensky's philosophical ideas. The paper gives a novel overview on Komensky’s ideas and adjusts them to the 21st century realia. It accentuates the ideas to be used as the basis of programs for preparing socio-pedagogists, social workers and pedagogists who work in resocialization and education of youths and adults.
