The phenomenon of interference in learning foreign languages at a medical university (based on English-Latin pair of languages)

The article discusses the problem of interlingual interference, which is based on the study of Latin and foreign languages. The authors emphasize that already in the first year of a medical university, a student is faced with the need to learn the same anatomical terminology in two languages (foreign / English and Latin), which leads to the phenomenon of interlingual interference in its negative aspect. It is noted that, first of all, this interference manifests itself at the phonetic level. The authors point out that interlingual interference in this particular case has an objective nature of occurrence, but the difficulties that students have with these two language systems can be characterized as interference in a negative aspect. The article suggests possible solutions to this problem.
