Language and ethnic culture: lines of communication and mutual agreement

The article is devoted to the logical and linguistic justification of the connection between the language and the culture of the ethnos, the identification of the main lines of their connection and mutual agreement. The material of the Khanty and Khakass languages shows the possibilities of deployment in speech, including in statements of an idiomatic nature, the deep potential of vocabulary associated with the designation of household items and economy, as well as phenomena of living and non-living nature. It is indicated that in the languages consideration there is a clearly delineated circle of lexical units, idioms, grammatical forms and models with a distinct cognitive and mental, worldview basis. Provisions on the existence of an inextricable link between ethnic culture and language have been formulated, and vivid examples of idiomatic expressions have been found as one of the evidence of this link. It is shown that these language units and constructs fully reflect the specific methods and results of cognition by the ethnic group of the surrounding world. They are also described in the context of the search for linguistic phenomena caused by the specifics of the lifestyle and individual features of the worldview.
