The language of modern education management as a mirror of socio-economic processes

Бесплатный доступ

The article considers modern tendencies of the education management language from the viewpoint of influence of socio-economic processes in the country. Theoretical basis of the research is comprised of the theory of functional stylistics, in particular, such variant of official style as administrative sociolect as well as the theory of linguo-synergetics exploring the language as a self-developing system which undergoes ‘points of bifurcation’. The author stems from the presumption that the more significant are social, political, and economic reforms, the more considerable become the language changes. Such breaking point which conditioned changes in pedagogical discourse became innovations in socio-economic, and political mechanisms of market age. Analysis of the documents related to the programs of education development in the Russian Federation enabled the author to single out such stable tendencies as activization of business-related lexical units in other spheres including education management, anglicization of Russian, colloquialization, and forming all-nation slang.
