The article deals with the study of the change of the quality of the population of the USA, using the English and minority languages in the everyday family communication in the second decade of the XXIst century. There are described the reasons of the changes and the tendencies that they demonstrate, and their influence on the status of the English language at the present moment. The author emphasizes that the American society is becoming more and more homogeneous in the language plan.
