This study is devoted to borrowed terminology of English origin in the Russian language, which is one of the most relevant linguistic problems. Not only linguists have shown interest in the problem of studying borrowings in the Russian language, but also technical specialists indicate its relevance. The article examines models of learning borrowed technical vocabulary, vectors of the development of English-language terms, language characteristics and usage in magazines and newspapers. Based on the material of etymological, explanatory, foreign dictionaries we reveal and describe the development and adaptation of English language components in the Russian language. We use a comparative and descriptive method involving elements of typological, etymological, frequency analysis of linguistic data, as well as explanatory, etymological, encyclopedic dictionaries and reference books of both Russian and English in this research. The relevance of the chosen research topic is justified by the need to generalize the results of lexicological study of borrowed words in light of lexicographical issues.
