The article deals with linguistic means of evaluation representation in German-language network film review and determines their role in the implementation of the intentional attitude of the text. Film review, being a product of analytical and synthetic processing of a film text, attracts attention of the audience to cinema novelties, helps to form an opinion on the works of cinema art. The pragmatic orientation of this type of media-text is mainly determined by its evaluative component. Evaluation units are presented in all structural and semantic components of film review, they are included in the summary of a film content and form a part of reasoning with its argumentation. Evaluations are the result of re-evaluation as to a film in terms of its compliance with the reviewer’s own scale of values, as well as the standards generally accepted in the given sphere - a set of some or other characteristics. General evaluations qualify a film based on the totality of its properties and, as a rule, they are deduced from partial evaluations. The latter focus on the most significant aspects of a film: the work of the director and the cast of characters, set-dressing for shooting. Evaluations are made actual by means of adjectives, adverbs, compound nouns, case names, as well as word-combinations and entire utterances. Evaluative predicates are characterized by intensification that is expressed in the semantics of the words and is denoted by affixes and certain lexical units. Metaphors also contribute to strengthening the evaluativity of the text.
