Effective and safety of endoscopic contact electropulse lytotripsy in urolithic disease

Results of safety and efficacy assessment of a new method of endoscopic contact electropulse lithotripsy in patients with urolithiasis are presented in the article. Electropulse lithotripsy was established to be effective and safe method of treatment of urolithiasis which resulted in full destruction of calculus in 96% of cases. Complications were revealed in 9% of cases and number of intraoperative complications increased in lithotripsy of large (more than 6 mm) akinetic concrements. Using electropulse lithotripsy allows to increase efficacy of endourological interventions in patients with urolithiasis, to decrease complications frequency and to significantly decrease hospitalization period.
