The article presents the results of studies on the comparative effectiveness of growing Phoenix quails using a feed additive from the biomass of fly larvae Lucilia Ceasar and soybean cake. Protein equivalent replacement of soy cake in compound feeds for young quails with flour from the larvae of the Lucilia Caesar fly increases feed consumption, average daily live weight gain by 5,2 %, live weight by 3,9 % by the end of the experiment (P>0,01), total live weight gain by 5,0 %, reduces feed conversion by 9,1 %.
