Efficacy of the vaccine against acute respiratory viral infections cattle

The aim of the work was to evaluate the effectiveness of double (with an interval of 21 days) immunization with the Kombovak-R vaccine 60-50 days before calving in an industrial livestock complex. The results of the study of the preservation of post-vaccination immunity in cows showed that only two of the five animals studied retained the protective level of antibodies by the end of the inter-vaccination period. The critical moment is the appearance of animals with a seroconversion of 4 or more times. Despite the absence of clinical signs of disease, this indicates the serological instability of the herd. The decrease in the intensity of herd immunity to acute respiratory viral infections dictates the need to make adjustments to the technological map and vaccination schedule.
