Effectiveness of various treatment regimens for mastocytoma in dogs

Having studied the spread of oncological diseases in dogs in the conditions of the Interdepartmental Scientific Center, it was found that mastocytoma occurs in 31 % of cases, transmissible venereal sarcoma in 19 % of cases, fibrosarcoma in 18 % of cases, lymphoma and osteosarcoma in 16 %. It was found that the effect of the use of polychemotherapy comes faster than when using monochemotherapy. On the seventh day of treatment, the animals of the experimental group showed clear improvements, and when using monochemotherapy, the effect was noticeable only on the fourteenth day. Since the treatment of neoplasms is associated with the use of chemotherapeutic agents, it was necessary to control the morphological and biochemical status of the animals. In the process of treatment, there were no deviations from the norm of biochemical blood parameters. In morphological parameters in the first days of treatment, leukopenia was observed, and in the dogs of the experimental group, the number of leukocytes and lymphocytes was restored by the 14th day of treatment. And in animals of the control group, leukopenia was observed throughout the course of treatment, i.e. within 57 days. The results of the conducted studies indicate that the applied scheme in the experimental group of animals turned out to be more effective.
