Effective mechanisms of law enforcement as a basis of modern democratic statehood of the russian federation

The Chief Editor’s article along with other research presented in the current issue are devoted to the category of law enforcement, implying the building and control of existing social relations on the basis of legal regulations and strict observance of the legality principle. The permanent need for the presence and implementation of the legal order in the life of State and civil society, both in the present and in the past, is conditioned by the compulsory political and legal values of sovereign democratic statehood, including, first of all, the prevention of all kinds of arbitrary actions, the protection of rights and freedoms of citizens, and ensuring the level of their personal safety. According to the author, the functional significance of law enforcement as a factor that influences the contemporary development of democratic statehood of the Russian Federation consists not only in the implementation of legality by the strict observance of legal regulations by all subjects of public relations under the rule of law and the inevitability of responsibility for violating it, but also in ensuring the progressive development and strengthening of Russia, as well as improving the welfare of its citizens. The Chief Editor’s analysis of law enforcement problems, its role, importance and influence on modern democratic statehood of the Russian Federation, is based on the current issue’s research aimed at finding the ways of dealing with the mentioned problems.
