In this article visual management tools are systematized and aspects of visual management application in the context of electrical equipment manufacturing quality management are described. In this paper an idea about the methodology of lean manufacturing and the concept of visual management in general is given, also their role is determined in the standardization and quality assurance of the company, the links with another quality management processes such as personnel trainings, management review and analysis etc. is analysed; examples of visual control and its advantages, as well as basic visualization tools offered by GOST R 56407-2015 are presented. The necessity of introducing such tools for the effective development of companies' operational activities is substantiated. The concept of visual management with grouping and visual control (with examples, classification by type and advantages) are highlighted. The positive effect from the introduction of Lean-methodology, in particular, visual management at the plant Systeme Electric Zavod ElectroMonoblock (SEZEM LLC) is described in the form of a case-study, in which their influence and role on the increase of production efficiency are demonstrated. The main groups of visual management at the plant are defined, examples of Lean tools used are given. The best practices of the plant for using various technological solutions for visual management are presented: visual production management system by indicators and time intervals, electronic notifications and augmented reality (AR). The case-study highlighted the adaptability and applicability of visual management in electrical equipment manufacturing, recommendations that can be used in other industries with similar environments are provided. The study has become the foundation for including the best practices of Systeme Electric plant in a new e-course for master's degree students at the Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”.
