Effects of globalization: regional tendencies through examples of Nizhny Novgorod institutions of higher education

The present article synthesizes experience of the higher educational institutions in Nizhny Novgorod from the point of view of their participation in professional activities related to the processes of global integration. Theoretical approaches to the phenomenon of globalization in the context of the institution of higher education are described. The interrelationship between regional higher educational institutions and the processes, described in terms of globalization based on the known concept of globalization, are analyzed, as well as concrete aspects of higher educational institutions ’ adaptation strategies to the processes of globalization.
