Effects of temporal asynchrony of family life readiness components on demographic behavior among youth

Youth readiness for family life is the basis for the successful practical implementation of demographic (marriage and reproductive) behavior. The key components of readiness for family life are physiological, socio-economic and socio-psychological. The article presents the author's model of the temporal asynchrony of the readiness components for family life, while optimally the periods of socio-psychological and socio-economic maturity should coincide with the stage of physiological maturity. Such a model can be used to analyze and explain negative social and psychological phenomena and trends in the demographic behavior of the population, such as the high number of divorces, the rising average age of marriage, etc. Proposals for improving state family and demographic policy, including measures of a demographic and social nature, are outlined.
