Environmental crimes: criminological characteristics and main directions of prevention

The publication explores topical issues of the concept of environmental crimes in its criminological context. The author comes to the conclusion that increasing success in criminal legal counteraction to environmental crimes is unthinkable without strengthening the environmental oversight activities of all competent public authorities, fully involving civil society structures in this work, as well as improving criminal environmental legislation and permanently improving the appropriate qualifications of all officials responsible for environmental protection, including criminal law measures of influence.
