Ecological tourism is an important task of the tourism industry development in Rostov region. Ecotourism is of great socio-cultural importance. In addition, it plays a large economic role in the municipal budget. In recent years, ecotourism has become very popular in many areas of Rostov region. However, this type of tourism has the greatest potential for development in Don Sea of Azov. The experience of communicating with nature allows tourists to relax and get to know the nature of their native land better. The article considers the potential of ecological tourism on the territory of Neklinovsky and Azov districts of Rostov region, covering the coast of the Taganrog Bay. The territory of the development of ecological tourism in Don Azov Region is currently a route that includes the ancient farm Merzhanovo, the Beglitskaya Spit, the unique landscapes of the virgin steppe of Miussky slope, the man-made forests of the Sunrise Forest Park, the steppe fields of the Bio-Khutor Petrovsky, the routes of the Donskoy Nature Park and the Alexander Forest. A unique object of nature is the vicinity of the Farm Merzhanovo. These places were visited by Pushkin A.S., who called them Lukomorye and wrote about them in his works. From here you can see almost the entire territory of the delta, see the cape - Taganiy Horn, where later the city of the same name was founded. The largest sand spit, extending far into the sea, is the Beglitska Spit on the northern shore, which has preserved the pristine steppe landscapes. Alexander Forest is unique in the variety of landscapes and species of the animal world. A unique place for the ecological tourism development in Azov region are the zones of migration of waterfowl on the territory of Don Delta.
