Environmental education of young people

The current state of the environment in Russia requires the solution of the most important environmental problems, the main of which is the development and improvement of the institution of environmental education, since unqualified intervention in environmental problems in the process of economic activity can aggravate the ecological situation. In the advanced countries of the world, it is education that is assigned one of the key roles in ensuring the environmental safety of the population. Environmental education is a continuous multilateral process, one of the most important components of which is upbringing, the development of the personality itself, the constant acquisition of knowledge and the ability to apply it in practice. Unfortunately, Russia has not yet formed a unified integrated system of environmental education based on the integration of scientific research and the educational process at all levels of training (school, bachelor's, master's, postgraduate, retraining and advanced training). To overcome threats to environmental safety, it is necessary to create such a multi-level system in which an interdisciplinary approach to environmental education, based on the unity of teaching and upbringing, should be implemented.
