Language ecology. Borrowings in mass media

The paper deals with relevant for contemporary linguistics issues of the linguistic sustainability in mass media. We analyze the latest borrowing, used in mass media. The language material is taken from modern social political publications and television programs. The reasons for the inclusion of Anglicisms in the Russian language are analyzed, and the marks of the use of loan words are given. It is concluded that the active use of foreign words in the press and on television often not only hampers the perception of information, but also threatens the national culture and the Russian language.
