Economic security of the municipality on the basis of food security

The purpose of the study is to study the processes taking place in the agro-industrial complex of the municipality of the city of Perm in the context of food security in the Perm region as a whole. It is emphasized that historical experience shows that the security of the state and the economic security of a single municipality are determined by numerous factors, among which food security is not in the last place. As a result of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that many companies and organizations in the agro-industrial complex of the region and specifically in the municipality in the post-Soviet period were either sold or went bankrupt, and as a result, agricultural products and their processing largely have to be imported from distant regions and from foreign countries. It is emphasized that ensuring the security of such a large municipality as the city of Perm is impossible without the development of an important sector of the economy on its territory – the agro-industrial complex.
