In the article "economy of creativity" as one of the effective ways of training creative professionals for creative industries in the universities of culture and arts through active application of the design approach, we identify the key challenges of a new era of socio-economic development of the country, affecting the viability of the University in the preparation of creative personnel for XX1 century. The development of the partnership of the University of culture and arts with the power and business structures defined by the authors, the main feature 2014 - the year of culture in the Russian Federation. It summarizes the results of implementation of project activities in Kemerovo state University of culture and arts, together with a number of municipalities of the Kemerovo region, Kemerovo regional Department of Russian public organization of small and medium entrepreneurship "OPORA Russia", activating, on the one hand, the identification, support and promotion of talented creative professionals, on the other hand, the interaction with foreign organizations of culture and art and University partners.
