The article is devoted to the Ural Federal Region economy. The authors noted the peculiarities of the region economy formation and development, compiled and analyzed tables characterizing the Ural Federal Region basic index, industrial structure of the gross regional product, commercial production. They represented the contrastive analysis both Russian and regional activities, singled out the general trend structural changes of Russian and Ural federal region gross regional product and pointed out difference between them.
