Experimental study of influence of filler prestress on strength properties of polymer composite material

Бесплатный доступ

The present study reveals the experiment with strength properties of polymer composite material, the filler of which (fiberglass) during the manufacture of the composite was subjected to tension with exposure for 24 hours. The tensile test experiment of fabricated samples resulted in improvement of the strength properties of a composite material with a prestressed filler: increase in cracking and breaking forces by 45 % and 12 %, respectively; increase in tensile strength and strength of monolayer by 12 %; increase in elastic modulus by 4.7 %; increase in stress and deformation of transition by 16.2 % and 13.9 %, respectively, compared with samples with filler not subjected to prestressing. The obtained results make it possible to recommend the use of filler prestress in production of composite materials structures.
