Experimental substitution of operating modes of a convective-infrared drying machine for stems of oil flax

An important step in preparing the stem mass of oil flax for primary processing is its drying. The purpose of this research is to scientifically substantiate the parameters and modes of the drying process of the tangled stem mass of oil flax during the longitudinal movement of heated air in a drying machine operating by the convective and convective-infrared method. The research was carried out on an experimental installation. The results of the research for the first time scientifically justified parameters and operating modes convection and combination drying of stem weight of flax, determined: drying time, it’s 2.5-3.4 minutes to change humidity from 30 % to 14%, at a flow of drying agent 2200-3100 m3 per an hour, its speed of 4-6 m per sec, a temperature of 63-70 °C and a relative humidity of 8-9%. To reduce the drying time of the layer of oil flax in the form of a tangled mass in our method, it is necessary to set the speed and flow rate of heated air at least 6 m per sec and 3100 m3 per an hour, respectively...
