The 100th anniversary of the expert-criminalistic service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The emergence and formation of forensic units in Russia has undergone many changes. First of all, this was due to the political and social situation in the country that took place in the last century: the revolution, the external and internal situation, which was complicated by the economic instability. The author in this article analyzes the formation of criminalist units, reveals the main historical moments and prerequisites for the emergence of expert-criminological service in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
