Extremism and information and communication technologies: new challenges

The article is devoted to the consideration of certain aspects of the problem of the spread of the radical ideology of extremism in the context of an increase in the intensity of exploitation of the possibilities of information and communication technologies (ICT). The concept of extremist activity is revealed. As one of the fundamental conditions conducive to the cultivation of extremism, it is determined that interethnic and interfaith conflicts are not resolved. Using specific examples, the author reveals the limitations of measures aimed at prohibiting the use of ICT in order to overcome the problem of radicalization.
