Extremism in Russia: figures and thoughts

The article analyzes markers of criminal activity of extremist nature in the Russian Federation for the last 5 years, in that number, terrorism as an extreme form of extremism demonstration. The conclusion about constant and stable growth of analyzed crimes, as decrease in 2019 absolute and relative marks is explained with inclusion into article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation administrative prejudice and, accordingly, “turning” some actions into the class of administrative offences, and the necessity to activate prevention work, especially among the youth, as, according to some authors’ opinion, the problem of extremism extension in the Russian Federation became one of key factors, threating state integrity, leading to growth of instability in society, creating separatism in certain territories of the Russian Federation and creating threat of extreme forms of extremist actions, i.e. terroristic acts, is drawn.
