The existential crisis and the “ruins” of das ding

The study investigates the reasons for the inability of the Kantian noumenon (das Ding) to be restored from the “ruins” in the modern world, the world of global challenges and disasters. The author considers the paradoxes and contradictions associated with the duality of the world (the world of noumena and the world of phenomena), which produces the system of antinomies. The division into two worlds in views of the German philosopher is due to the devastation of the identity of the Absolute is the Absolute. At this point, the philosopher is looking for a philosophical rather than a religious solution. However, he cannot build a logically consistent basis for the interaction between the worlds of phenomena and noumena. Meanwhile, a contour analysis of the possibilities for structuring and describing das Ding demonstrates a “flickering”, open border “between” ontology and cognition theory. Besides, the author indicates the dangers of thinking in opposites in a situation of existential crisis and a possible solution to overcome the existential crisis.
