Electronic democracy in perception and assessment of the population

The results of a sociological study conducted in Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk regions are presented. The subject of the study is the digitalization process of public administration at the regional level. The research method is an expert survey. The study involved four groups of experts: public officials; municipal officials; members of parties and public associations; representatives of science and education. The main task of the study is to determine the goals of promoting e-democracy, which is often interpreted as the interaction of citizens, authorities, public organizations on electronic platforms. Judging by the data, the priority goals of promoting e-democracy in the practice of the country’s social and political life are: the possibility of increasing openness in the work of authorities; increasing the activity of the population in the public life of the country; the possibility of an orderly making proposals; fighting corruption, reducing the role of personal connection.
