Entertainment elements in teaching Latin to medical students

This article focuses on the possibility of using entertainment elements in teaching Latin to medical students. There is a connection between the didactic methodical principle of entertaining and the problem of motivation in learning, while cognitive interest is conditioned by an emotionally positive attitude towards the subject being studied. This article explains reasons for using the entertainment elements during a practical lesson, namely, the activation and switching of attention, the connection of reproduction with creativity, the release of psychological stress and left hemispheric fatigue. The possibility of using entertainment elements at the stages of assessment, revision, independent work, introduction of a cultural commentary into the course of the lesson is noted. The possible forms of presentation of didactic materials with entertainment elements are listed: exercises, educational cards, visual aids. The presented didactic materials were tested in the classroom at a medical university.
