Introduction. The process of serving a sentence in prisons leads to spatial changes and clearly divides a person's life into “before” and “after”. As part of the space-time continuum, the perception of time also undergoes changes. The purpose of this research is to study the peculiarities of the emotional states of convicts (as well as convicts with disabilities) in the context of the concept of "time perspective" to identify the main targets of psycho-correctional influence. Materials and Methods. The study involved 273 convicts aged 22 to 65 years who serve sentences in subordinate organizations and institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ryazan region. Empirical methods included the Spielberger-Khanin scale of situational anxiety, the questionnaire of the need for achievement by Yu.M. Orlov, test of frustration reactions by S. Rosenzweig, questionnaire of the need for communication by Yu. M. Orlov, K. Izard's scale of differential emotions, the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory. Results and Discussion. In the course of this study, it was revealed that convicts without disabilities are more characterized by a high level of situational anxiety, as well as the presence of correlations between the parameters of emotional states under study. In the sample of disabled convicts, a group of persons with a high level of situational anxiety was also identified, in which there are correlations between the parameters under study, which indicates a close relationship between the three blocks of emotional states with a high indicator of the "Past" block. Conclusions. The study made it possible to identify the following targets of psycho-correctional influence: a high level of situational anxiety, a necessary-persistent type and an impunitive orientation of the reaction to frustration, high values of negative and anxiety-depressive emotions.
