The article is dedicated to the analysis of emotional vocabulary in the literary works of Ch. Aitmatov and J. Green. It explores the means of expressing emotions, such as adjectives, verbs, interjections, and evaluative constructions, as well as their role in conveying the internal states of characters. Special attention is given to Kyrgyz emotional-evaluative vocabulary and its connection to cultural traditions and natural imagery, while in Green's English texts, the use of direct names of emotions and non-normative vocabulary is highlighted. The comparative analysis demonstrates the cultural and ethnic specificity of the emotional worldview and emphasizes the significance of emotive vocabulary for revealing character traits and creating an emotional atmosphere.
