Empathy as a fundamental dimension of consulting psychologist's work

The article discusses dependence of the degree of empathy manifestation by consulting psychologists on the length of their practice. It has been found that the consulting psychologists don't tend to show more empathy with the gain of professional experience, which may be explained by the transition of empathy from a personal quality into a techique and a tool of interation with a client. The author defines the promising areas of studying empathy in the work of consulting psychologists.
