Epidemiology of lung cancer in the Tyumen region in the period from 2008 to 2017

Cancer of the trachea, bronchi and lungs are the most acute problem of modern oncology. The problem of lung cancer is relevant for the Tyumen region. In the study period, there is an increase in the incidence (from 42.0 in 2008 to 47.09 in 2017), the growth rate is 11.96%. Significantly increased the percentage of detection of lung cancer during preventive examinations - 40.82% and the proportion of morphologically confirmed diagnoses: in 2008 - 56.50%, in 2017 - 73.96%. A significant increase in the proportion of patients in whom cancer was detected at the I-II stage (2008 - 29.76%, in 2017 - 34.34%, increase - 13.34%) is determined. The mortality rate during the first year of life is steadily decreasing (in 2008. - 55,40%, in 2017. - 39.48%), there is a negative increase, which is -31%. In the dynamics of mortality from lung cancer, there is a decrease, since in 2008 the mortality rate was 35.48 per 100 thousand population, and in 2017 - 28.5, the increase is negative (-19.67%).
