Epidemiology of cerebral malignant tumors in Chelyabinsk region in 1999-2008

In this study the trends were investigated and patterns of incidence of cerebral malignancies in patients living in the territories of Chelyabinsk region with the different level of industrial pollution. During the studied 10-years period statistically significant elevation of morbidity level in male population was observed, from 3,95 to 5,53 cases per 100 000. Also, the risk of developing a cerebral malignant tumor was two times higher in the population of big cities than in population of other territories of the region.
